TOP-RATED: THE BISTRO AT HABERSHAM

Although it has only seven tables, The Bistro exudes the elegance of a far larger, more established place. The menu, which changes weekly, reads big too. The lobster-and-fried green tomato appetizer I had was described as "a napoleon of panko-coated green tomatoes lightly fried and layered with avocado mousse and fresh lobster meat." Sure, it sounds like a dictator collided with a Japanese salad bar, but the taste combination was fantastic. Likewise, the winning entrée was a flaky and fabulous fried snapper, crusted with coconut and graced with plain basmati rice and a delicious mango chutney. Desserts, like the wine menu, were limited but excellent nonetheless.
